What exactly is a mould and why do I need one?

A mould is a precision tool used in injection moulding to produce plastic products. Without a mould, series production is not possible. The quality of the mould directly determines the quality of your final product.

Does V&V Engineering build the moulds entirely themselves?

Yes. We design and produce moulds entirely in-house in our workshop in Belgium. This allows us to maintain control over quality, lead time and costs.

Can I come to you with an existing design?

Absolutely. We can technically evaluate your design and, if necessary, optimise it for better mouldability. Based on that, we build a mould that is ready for production.

What if my product design is not yet completely finished?

No problem. We are happy to guide you in optimising your design, for example, in terms of wall thickness, draft angles or critical zones. The earlier we are involved, the better we can prevent surprises during production.

What is a modular mould system and why should I choose one?

A modular mould system is a system where we only replace or modify the necessary parts. That saves material, costs and time, and is also more sustainable than building a completely new mould every time.

Are modular mould systems just as precise and reliable as conventional moulds?

Yes, provided they are well designed, modular mould systems are just as precise and even more efficient. They are particularly useful for variants of an existing product or for small production runs.

Can I also come to you for repairs or modifications to existing moulds?
